POLICRIT RUN is a timed elimination running race on a 630 m circuit in front of the Vigorelli Velodrome, covering 10 laps for a total of 6,300 meters. Men and women start together on the same line.

At the end of every lap, all active runners stop at the arch. As soon as the last runner crosses, a 30-second countdown begins before a collective restart, meaning faster runners benefit from a longer rest period.

  • Laps 1–6 (Elimination by Pace): An official pacer closes the group at a progressively faster pace (ranging from 5:30/km on lap 1 to 4:15/km on lap 6). Any runner trailing behind the pacer at the end of the lap is eliminated.

  • Laps 7–10 (Elimination by Position): There is no pace limit or pacer. Instead, the last 3 runners to cross the arch at the end of each lap are eliminated. The remaining runners race lap 10 to determine the final finishing order.
